Today we had a Valentine’s Party. Yes, I know Valentine’s Day is still over two weeks away, but our schedule is quite packed for the next few weeks and we had a certain young lady who was determined to plan out a party for us, completely on her own. She did a fantastic job, I must say! We had pizza, enjoyed a delicious dessert, and played games. But the most thrilling part of the party was, of course, the raffle! You see, Caroline was the lucky winner of a raffle at last year’s Daddy-Daughter dance and it left quite an impression on her, so this was something she really wanted to include in her party. She used her own money to buy the prizes. She also came up with the idea that all the earnings from the raffle would become the jackpot for one final grand prize. Pure genius.
Using a label-maker makes everything more official.
Buying tickets
Where to put the tickets…..tough choice.
It was the perfect time to pull a new game out of my hidden stash, that I keep for just these types of occasions.
Another favorite, “No Thanks!”
Who will win the jackpot?
In the end, Elliot won the 3-D puzzle and the Kit-Kat bar, Caroline won the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and the decorative bucket, and I won the jackpot! And Josh….well, all he really won was our pity (and hugs from his three favorite people). Sorry, Daddy!
